Dawson Kling

Dawson Kling played NAIA collegiate baseball and has been part of Michigan Sports Academy since its founding. His parents opened MSA in 2010, and Dawson grew up inside the facility—starting at age 9 answering phones and helping families, unlocking the doors after school by age 12, assisting with coaching by 15, and becoming the head coach of MSA’s 15u team at just 18.

He has coached in the MSA system since 2019 and was named Director of Travel Baseball & Camps in 2020. Since 2022, Dawson has also served as an instructor for Detroit Tigers Youth Baseball Camps. In 2023, he served as Head Coach at Charyl Stockwell Preparatory Academy in Brighton, Michigan.
Today, Dawson serves as Director of Baseball & Softball Operations at Michigan Sports Academy, overseeing player development, programming, and coaching standards. Beginning in the spring of 2027, he will become the second generation of the Kling family to coach at the collegiate level, serving as Head Baseball Coach at Great Lakes Christian College in Lansing, Michigan.
